It's September 2002, and most of 2002 has gone by without any updates. The last one was February. My apologies. I had some health problems this year and wasn't able to keep up the site. I'm feeling better, and this month I worked on a complete site update. Prompted by several e-mails about broken links, I checked all of the links on the site and removed all of the broken ones. I also fixed the forms. Sometime this year, the web host changed some things, and the forms stopped working. If you submitted your site for inclusion this year, please re-submit it. I probably didn't receive it. The search remains broken, and I hope to have it fixed shortly. I didn't want to hold up this long-awaited update any more while I modify it. Thanks for your patience!

Important Note: About Site Updates

It's November 20, 2001, and I just completed my first Westmoreland County Connection update in a few months. The last one was in September. I apologize to my faithful readers for not keeping the site as current as I would like. It turns out that I am going to have to change my schedule for updates from monthly to quarterly. I have a lot of activities going on right now, and my free time is limited. So look for regular updates now in November, February, May, and August.

Important Note: About the Site Move

While typically I dislike moving a site once it has been established, moving The Westmoreland County Connection is necessary to increase the site's reliability and performance.

Through no fault of the site or myself, lately, too often, the submission form would not work at the old web host (http://members.xoom.com/wcconnection). If I can't reliably receive submissions, then I can't add your site or event. The new web host (http://wcconnection.tripod.com) has solved this problem.

In addition, all external links should open in a new window, allowing you to view other sites without losing track of The Westmoreland County Connection. This feature would not implement correctly at the old web host.

I began the move process in March 2000. In April 2000, I made the main page at the old web host show just a link to the new web host. The move has officially been made! If you have a link on your site to the old web host, I'd appreciate it if you would update it.

I created and continue to maintain this site as a volunteer project; in other words, I don't receive any income from it.

While I attempt to update this site monthly, if you don't see the site updated that frequently, then that means that I am extremely busy with my paying work. Being self-employed, my amount of free time fluctuates.
