| Mount Pleasant
is home to the L.E. Smith Glass Company founded in 1907. The brick boardinghouse is now
used as a gift shop and visitor's center and tours of the factory are available. The glass
company is located at Factory and Liberty streets off Route 31 in Mount Pleasant. Hours:
Factory tours are held Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Store hours
are Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 noon
until 5:00 p.m.
